The Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco is using our makeready for an embossing and collage project this weekend. The project will use embossing plates with different designs as pictured above. The back of the card is rubbed with wax and then an embossing tool is used to run over the waxed surface with the embossing plate underneath the card. The wax helps make the paper smoother so it is easier to run the embossing tool over it.
If you want to learn more about the embossing process or feel like bedazzling some makeready, you can stop by the CJM from 11am to 3pm this Sunday. Youth 18 and under are admitted free. Remember to take pictures, we can’t wait to see what you make!
