Beginning with the Redwood Bear card, our card designer and illustrator Kim began including animals among the botanical designs, using a crow quill pen for the fine lines of fur and feathers. The process of drawing animals functions as a meditation, to find a deeper space when working, and to get to know the animal and its sense of being.
